I am a Design Director with a strong passion for comprehensive brand design and strategic thinking, be it digital, analog or whatever medium is the right fit for the job, always keeping the bigger picture in mind. Whenever I get the chance, I love to focus on the typography portion of a project, getting lost in details and appreciating the craft of anchor points, curves and grids.
My path started as an intern at Wolff Olins in 2007 and spans over 9 years working in New York, London, Dubai and Germany, on and off with Wolff Olins and with Peter Schmidt Group and Interbrand in Germany. Some of the bigger brands I have had the pleasure of working for were AOL, PwC, Skype, Microsoft, Google, Firefox OS, Nixon Peabody, AM.PM and Deutsche Telekom.
I studied communication design at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, Germany and finished with my thesis project »Descryptor« – a utility to capture and visualize personality traits in 2010.
When not at work I enjoy the on and off time in the city: either diving into everything it has to offer from exhibitions and concerts to food or embracing the quietness around New York at the beach or in the forest.
