The role of Group Account Director s at Wolff Olins embodies the very best of all Client Service disciplines. You may have had account management, engagement management and project management roles at other agencies. Your remit is to head large, complex client programs and lead interdisciplinary teams by example. You will be as comfortable debating the work with senior marketing and non-marketing clients as you are detailing out the right approach to constructing a team for a particular scope of work. Your programs will be held up as the gold standard of highly profitable relationships that continuously yield the world-class examples of creativity and positive impact Wolff Olins is known for​​.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inspiring, compelling and being authoritative with clients and partners, and are expected to build and maintain C-suite relationships
  • Acting as a knowledge source for the business on how to drive creative partnerships and make business transformation happen
  • Constantly seek out ways to trial new thinking and technology with your clients, with the view that these will become case studies for how to create value and impact with clients
  • Driving the strategic direction of your team’s work and demand the highest standards of the work delivered to clients
  • Ensure the commercial health of your accounts to actively contribute to the financial health of Wolff Olins, either independently or in conjunction with the Program Manager / Senior Program Manager on your accounts
  • Building great relationships with other Wolff Olins Seniors and are a role model for everyone in the business, across communities
  • independently or in conjunction with a more junior program partner, direct client programs from brief to retrospective, mediate external and internal program issues and ensure the commercial health of your programs
  • Playing an active role in contributing to and shaping Wolff Olins’s growth strategy and winning new business
  • Acting as a natural collaborator, being open to new and different ways of working
  • Acting as a specialist in one or two sectors/areas of expertise and being the go-to person for these internally and externally
  • Constantly seeking to grow WO’s reputation – working with our PR and content team, publishing thought pieces and building an influential network
  • Acting as a mentoring figure for the Program Management community, shaping and directing the profile of the community as well as being a mentor for more junior community members.

Key Experience & Capabilities

You will have extensive experience of account management / client services / marketing experience, which could come from a consulting, creative, client or technology background. Your previous clients will make up a rich portfolio of B2B, B2C and digital experience.

Specific expertise in a sector or marketing discipline such as organizational change, innovation, digital, and/or technology, is desirable but not an essential requirement. Senior Program Directors will most likely have led large teams of 10 or more people, or had previous management experience. Experience working in other geographies or markets, and fluency in a second language are also desirable.
