I’ve worked in the world of branding for over 12 years - on both the agency and client side of the business. I could list out all the brands I’ve worked on, however, I think the most exciting and relevant (and probably the reason why I was hired at WO) is my experience running a bakery, fresh out of college.
It was at Eleni’s NYC where I gained an understanding of brand, the complexities of business, a passion for creativity, the importance of building, training and inspiring teams and individuals and the power of partnership (especially when it came time to borrowing flour from the neighboring competitor).
Although small in comparison to the global brands I work with now, my learnings at the bakery were invaluable and are applied to my everyday life at Wolff Olins. Well, almost everything – I’m not sharing the secret on how to bake the perfect oatmeal raisin cookie.
